A Good Place To Start

For 499, you get an Alum and PC plate, a cute tape mod, case foam, personally that's a bargain to have a choice in your builds. Finally having a DIY kit of my own after modding some pre-builts does show me the fun that could be had when you're starting from barebones.

The LED's shine fairly bright, and the under glow gives a nice touch to the aesthetic of the acrylic case. I opted not to put in the case foam for as much flex as possible with a PC plate, but the foam provided does have cutouts for the under glow, so no worries about making the feature redundant.

Using it these 2 weeks with Joininkeys Midnight Blue's doesnt give me nearly enough time to appreciate the board, but I see a lot of potential with your switch + keycap combo down to your preferences. Also, the stock stabs are surprisingly well lubed, tuned, no rattle out of the box (my unit), I almost feel pampered for once.

I am still yet to fully get to grasps with my build, but I can confidently recommend this for first-time buyers looking into something more readily available that isn't as hollow as plastic, or expensive as metal keyboards, with modding being unnecessary, but leaves you that option should you choose to!
