An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A powerful ARM architecture MCU equipped with 256K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz right out of the box, which makes the latency hardly noticeable even in competitive games.

OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps

These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.

Switch Layouts Between macOS & Windows

Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron V1 Max comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Gasket Mount Design

By adopting a gasket mount design along with a PC (Polycarbonate) plate, the V1 Max reduces acoustic resonance, delivering a softer and quieter typing experience with enhanced flexibility.

Since the VIA code for the V1 Max is still awaiting approval from Github, it is not yet automatically recognized. Please download the appropriate keymap JSON file below, open VIA, turn on "Show Design tab" on "Settings" tab, and drag the JSON file into the “Design” tab on VIA to get the V1 Max keymap working on VIA.

Hot-swappable

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.

Gateron Jupiter Switch

Our exclusive Gateron Jupiter mechanical switch (for the Fully Assembled version only) comes with a 3-pin design, its pre-lubed with a reliable Gateron quality standard with up to 80 million keystrokes lifespan. While their unique LED diffuser design offers high RGB backlight transmittance and softer backlight effect.
The banana switch provides an early tactile bump at the top with a uniquely smooth experience like those Panda switches on the market.

Screw-In PCB Stabilizers

Even small part matters for your fingertip feel. We’ve integrated the PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizers for a smoother typing experience with less wobbliness on the big keys such as space bar, shift, enter, and delete. The Keychron V1 Max also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.

Great keyboard with great value

This is my very first custom keyboard. The foam inside does a great job at vibration dampening. Due to its mostly plastic body, the keyboard is quite light and I can easily take it to everywhere. I bought the barebone version and installed 81 MMD Princess Tactile V3 and the keyboard is very satisfying to use. The knob is also very satisfying to rotate and press to the point that I sometimes used it as a fidget device. The layout design is also great. The keyboard is compact, but does not feel cramped. The LED choices are great too. Initially I used the always on rainbow colors, but it drains the battery quite fast. So I switched to the one where it will have orange light around whichever key I presses. The keyboard comes with a wireless USB-A and USB-C dongle.

Banana Switch sounds great!

I didn't have a huge budget and this keyboard fit my needs. The Banana Switch sounds great enough for ASMR delight everytime I type, and the customizable RGB mode from Keychron is super fun to play with. I'm partial to Knob versions; just super convenient to deal with volume even though may be minor to others. Recommended for those who want a customizable keyboard at a fairly good price point without endangering your wallet.

Keychron V1 Max

The keyboard is awesome. The sound is just nice for office and home use. Using gateron Jupiter red. Highly customisable keys and switches. Waiting to mod switches further down the road.
